Thanks to everyone who made the Urban Art Competition a HUGE success in Lincoln Commons. Thanks to ALL the registrants and participants for coming out and sharing your talents and artwork with the community. Thanks to the judges for their time, to all the volunteers who helped set up and run the event, and thanks to the Malden Observer and Malden Access Television for providing local coverage.

There is an exhibit running at the New England Institute of Art from June 19th through August 1st. This exhibit features artwork from Rekloos some of whose artists participated in our Urban Art Competition.

There is a slideshow about how harmful plastic bags are to our environment. One of our next project ideas would be how to make our society more green and environmentally friendly. We will try to set up recycling bins in public parks next to regular trash bins. This idea came to us during our Urban Art Competition when we realized we had no place to recycle all the bottles from the barbeque.

Get the word out, pass the word on, and work towards a greener society!
