Youth Farm

The youth farm project is a farming/gardening experience for youth to produce local, organic food for their community. We ran a farm in our first year of Youth A.C.T. and  planted beans, squash, and cucumbers and aimed to provide them at a local market for the community. Though we were unable be really successful with this, we learned what it takes to run a small farm and the amount of work to go into it.

This Is Art

The “This is Art” venture is a television program currently being developed and filmed by members of Youth A.C.T. to bring and share local art and feature local artists. Filming takes place at Malden Access Television, the city of Malden’s local media center.

Urban Art Competition

The Urban Art Competition is a venue for local youth artists to come out and express their skills in public. The competition provides the opportunity for artists to showcase their work as well as be recognized. The idea arose from trying to counteract graffiti and vandalism but with a harmonic and positive emphasis instead of direct opposition.
